Housing developers assured of steady cement supply

For the fourth straight year, cement manufacturer Holcim Philippines, Inc. signed a memorandum of agreement with the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA) to give the group access to the company’s products at a competitive price.

On April 11, HolcimPhilippinesCOO Roland van Wijnen and Senior Vice President for Commercial Ed Sahagun signed the deal with officials of SHDA, one of the leading organizations of housing developers in the country. The company said it is proud to renew the partnership with SHDA as it is aligned with its commitment to support the shelter industry.

SHDA President Paul Tanchi welcomed the agreement as it will continue to help the group’s 160 members nationwide make quality houses more accessible to Filipinos.

“This deal means a lot for our group since cement is a major component of our projects. Getting access to quality cement from Holcim at a special price allows us to build better homes and offer these at a lower price,” said Tanchi.
